Another Escape is an outdoor lifestyle, creative culture and sustainable living publication that explores the stories of passionate people, alluring landscapes and intriguing ideas. We cover a disparate selection of subject matter all deep-rooted in exploration, creativity, innovation and discovery, and aim to be a source of inspiration for those who seek an active and considered lifestyle by encouraging an optimistic, forward-thinking and responsible mindset. The publication is a high quality journal: Another Escape is 144 pages on beautiful, quality 120gsm uncoated paper stock (FSC approved & Euro Ecolabel) with 300gsm matte laminate cover, printed in vegetable inks with a local printer.
Through the people and topics that we feature our aim is to inspire and encourage our readers to actively explore their own aspirations. Another Escape is comprised of a mix of ideas-based articles, features, people pieces and photo-essays. Storytelling is at the heart of what we do and strong narratives are key to the publication. There are undercurrent themes of outdoor culture, sustainability and responsible practice throughout all our volumes. The magazine follows a unique format – it is divided into focused sections, with each section's topic explored from four different perspectives. We believe that the interaction and experience that printed material allows is invaluable – we wanted to create a well designed tactile object that could slot onto your bookcase, sit on the coffee table or be slung into a rucksack.

It's not just about design, it's about all the other things in life that create inspiration everywhere and these in turn can lead to expanding your interests, knowledge and passions in life.
"Another Escape has just morphed into biannual magazine. The result is a smart, focused new magazine about following your inspiration to do what you want to do. Something we can all relate to."
Among the freshest culture publications we've seen this year, it's billing as "A Creative Exploration" translates into a series of reflections and fleeting encounters across the world. Like the leather-bound notebook of a well-seasoned traveller, it's a well-considered diary of writings and photographs and illustrations of ethereal places, of coming togethers and labours of love.
It's obvious that a tremendous amount of hard work goes into finding such original work and as a reader I'm intrigued and inspired. Whether it's a conventional viewpoint or just something fun and full of ridiculousness, Another Escape is a treasure and takes pride of place on my bookshelf. So, thank you Another Escape for a glorious magazine and for seeding some home grown inspiration the old fashioned way.
The pictures are stunning, the design is beautiful and the writing is inspirational. I want to work for a magazine myself one day, and magazines like this are what keep me going.
I was really drawn to the design of this magazine, especially the little symbols that categorise the motives behind Another Escape, which is: "the need for inspiration, the exploration of ideas, the application of ideas in process, and the final response." A must have for all adventure addicts, and those counting down the days till their holiday.
It's a journey in itself – it guides me to read articles that I would never otherwise read, which I find engaging and inspiring.
